Death Stranding has been considered one of the best and more unique games to come out over the past few years. With Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus starring, the game was very well-received by many fans and critics. This left them wanting more, a continuation of the story. Well, there seems to be some hints that Death Stranding 2 could be announced very soon. Here is the answer to if there is a Death Stranding 2.

For those who do not know, the game is set in a post-cataclysmic event America. In this, the player is tasked with playing as Norman Reedus’ character, Sam Porter Bridges. His goal is to help supply the different colonies that have survived this event while also reconnecting them. This proves to be much more difficult than he anticipated and players have to work their way through the United States in a reality that is much different than the current one.
This game sold over 5 million copies and was nominated for Game of the Year in 2019 at The Game Awards. While it did not win, to many players’ disappointment, it was a major success. Hideo Kojima proved that he could make incredible games all on his own after leaving Konami.
There had been rumors of a second game, but now it looks like it will be getting an announcement at the same Game Awards where it almost took home a Game of the Year award. This time though, the 2022 Game Awards are likely to show at least a trailer or official announcement.
Norman Reedus confirmed the game was being made back in May of 2022 but now Kojima may have made something even more official. Check out the Tweet below and make sure to stay tuned for the official announcement that is expected to be coming very soon.
