Is There Naraka: BladePoint Cross-Progression?

Naraka: BladePoint has finally joined the Xbox family after making its appearance on PC on August 11 of 2021. With both Xbox and PC now having access to the title there is one question on gamer’s minds. Is there Naraka: BladePoint cross-progression?

Cross Progression

Naraka: BladePoint cross-progression is another partially supported function in the title. Any existing player on Steam, will not be able to have cross-progression. Only players who purchased and are playing the game through the Microsoft PC platform can use cross-progression. This means player data and progress would carry over if the switch from Microsoft PC to Xbox consoles was made.

Crossplay

While Naraka: BladePoint does have crossplay functionality the feature at the moment is limited. It is possible for Xbox players to play matches with those on PC. That is the title’s original intention. However, the producer of Naraka: BladePoint Yongcheng Liu stated on Twitter that there is a bug affecting the crossplay feature. For some unknown reason, Xbox players are only able to add other Microsoft PC users as friends to play and team up with. To clarify, Xbox console users can only party up with Naraka: BladePoint players who purchased it from the Microsoft PC platform. Xbox users can not play with any user on the Steam platform. Yongcheng Liu stated there is a development team looking into this issue and will provide any updates in the future.

While information regarding future crossplay updates was given, There currently is no information on whether Steam and Xbox accounts will get the opportunity to use the Naraka: BladePoint cross-progression function in the future.
