Jameson Williams “Wasn’t Aware” of NFL Gambling Policy

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has revealed that he “wasn’t aware” of the NFL’s gambling policy before he received a six-game suspension last month. The 2022 first round draft pick described how he was “hurt” and “sick” after learning about the ban.

Three of Williams’ Detroit teammates also received bans last month for gambling offenses; the Lions released all three. Lions General Manager Brad Holmes and Head Coach Dan Campbell both believe that Williams has learned his lesson about betting and they have no concerns about any potential future issues.
