Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 196 Spoilers

The title for the new chapter will be Sakurajima Colony, Part 6, and the editor’s note explains how Miyo’s Domain erases all the elements, including Cursed Energy, and is only meant for pure sumo wrestling. Currently, the players in the ring are Miyo and Maki, and he then invites Maki for a sumo match with him. Miyo’s Domain cannot be complete if both the players don’t agree to a match. And as Maki is not yet ready, the Domain is incomplete. But soon, she agrees to the sumo match.

Maki’s decision comes as a shock to Noritoshi, and he asks, “What are you thinking about?” To this, she replies that she is overthinking and she should blow off some steam. Maki then takes the sumo position, and to Miyo’s surprise, she attacks with force. After some struggles, Miyo is able to slam her to the ground. He comments that it wasn’t her best and then adds that if he were to face her from the front, then she would have destroyed him.

Miyo then asks Maki why isn’t she able to focus. Maki never had a mentor or a master figure in her life, and she had become stronger by working hard on her own. Surprisingly, Maki starts to discuss her problems with Miyo, and he understands her completely. He then asks her to battle him again and says that this is the only way he can share his knowledge with her.

While the sumo match continues for some time, Miyo shares his part of wisdom with Maki. He says that she is caught too much with partners and curses and thinks about humans a lot. Maki asks for the answer, and Miyo says that they meet and communicate with the opponent inside the ring, but the opponent is born outside the ring. Miyo tells her to stop thinking about her opponent as a human inside the ring, or else she should leave the ring, which is not possible either.

He continues lecturing her about how she should be able to smell the sunlight, hear the sound, and feel her opponent’s body as if it were her own, the true meaning of freedom. He then challenges her for a final match, and Maki breaks out of the Simple Domain and can be seen smiling and commenting that she’s in perfect shape.
