Kaori Expected to Start for Evil Geniuses at Worlds

During the Evil Geniuses press conference, many questions were asked. Some important and others a little more fun. But the question that was on the mind of everyone was what the bot lane situation would be for Evil Geniuses going forward. That question was answered with what many fans and pundits expected. Kaori is expected at this time to be starting for Evil Geniuses at Worlds.

While a surprise to some, many expected that this might be the case going forward. Danny decided to step away from the team in order to take care of his mental health right after their win over Team Liquid. Kaori was given only about 10 scrimms with the team according support Vulcan before being put in a very interesting position.

Evil Geniuses were still able to take 100 Thieves to five games despite the change. Along with this, Kaori played extremely well in games one and three. He was given a herculean task and still almost was able to pull it off.

There is no doubt that this change was not ideal for Evil Geniuses. That being said Kaori seemed much more comfortable than many people expected. He will have more time to build rapport with the team. Also, he will have a brand new meta to learn which may seem like a problem for him. But, luckily every other team will be learning this new meta at the same rate that he and EG will.

100 Thieves and Cloud9 will compete on Sunday with a chance to add another LCS Championship trophy to their collection. Make sure to keep it here at The Game Haus for more LCS and Worlds 2022 news.
