Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a big hit for the pink puffball

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a hit. It’s official. As gamesindustry.biz reports, the game’s launch is the biggest the series has seen in the UK, based on the physical sales chart. It sold more than double the previous best-seller, the less-than-stellar Kirby Star Allies from 2018.

From one week of sales alone, the game is the fifth-biggest Kirby game. It feels safe to say that future Kirby and the Forgotten Land sales should be enough to reach that number one spot with ease. Elsewhere in the chart, Rune Factory 5 had a great launch, selling 80% more copies than 2020’s Rune Factory 4 Special. We’ve also got a Rune Factory 5 review if you’re considering picking it up.

Hopefully, Kirby can now take their rightful place as one of Nintendo’s top mascots. Sure, they’re cute, but they’ve always been resigned to the b-list. If you’re a true Kirby stan, keep your eyes peeled for our Kirby and the Forgotten Land review to see what we think. We’ve also got a Kirby plush guide if you’re looking to have them with you at all times. I’m no doctor, but I’d recommend it – an emotional support Kirby. I know I need one.
