Battlegrounds Mobile India, the biggest BR game in India, has been officially delisted from all the official app stores. This includes the widely used Google Play Store and Apple App Store. A similar scenario was seen with PUBG Mobile before the game was banned in the country. The involved officials have now released their statements.

BGMI is banned in India as per the sources close to TalkEsport. The government official source suggests that the game is banned due to data privacy concerns and its connections with China. A similar hearing was seen when PUBG Mobile was banned in the country.

The confirmation of this ban has been lingering since the official application developed by Krafton was removed from Google Play as well as Apple App Store. A Google spokesperson responded on this matter, as per the News18 report. The statement is as follows:

“On receipt of the order, following the established process, we have notified the affected developer and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India.”
