KuPS vs Young Boys Match Analysis and Prediction

KuPS and Young Boys will go head to head at the Vare Areena in the first leg of their Europa Conference League third qualifying round tie on Thursday.

KuPS opened their Conference League qualification campaign in the first round where they dispatched Dika Gori 2-0 on aggregate, before they easily saw out Milsami 6-3 on aggregate in the second round.

The Finnish outfits will be looking to continue their qualification positively on Thursday as seek to edge an inch closer to making it to the competition proper.  

But they face a tough opponent in this round and are coming a league setback against Haka where they fell to a 2-1 defeat at away last Sunday.  They therefore have a lot to make amends for before the Thursday fixture, although they have an excellent home record having not lost any of their 11 games at Vare Areena and will be keen to build on that.

Meanwhile Young Boys began their Conference League qualification in the second round where they easily blew away Liepaja 4-0 on aggregate to book a place in the third round.

The Swizz outfit played in the group stage of the Champions League last season and have every potential to make the Conference League proper this season. They are coming off a 1-1 draw against Grasshopper in their domestic league tie and have now gone unbeaten in their last 13matches across all competitions, picking up eight victories in the run.

They will confident of extending the run Thursday as they seek to get closer to going through to the group stage of the competition.
