The LCS is back for the Summer with some teams making a lot of changes and others sticking with their five from the Spring. Each of these teams will be duking it out to not only win an LCS Championship but also to get the chance to go to Worlds. With that people may be wondering who to pick on their way to Worlds. Here are the LCS Picks for Week 5 of the 2022 Summer Split.

LCS Picks Week 5 Summer 2022 Day 1
Evil Geniuses vs. CLG
Evil Geniuses are on a tear and CLG happen to be in the way. There is no doubt that EG remember what CLG did to them last time. With CLG falling off after an excellent Week 1 start, look for the Evil Geniuses to take this game handily.
Prediction: Evil Geniuses Win
Team Liquid vs. Immortals
Even with Team Liquid not looking up to par with fans’ expectations, Immortals just aren’t that good. TL need to start buttoning up their games and this is as easy a team as they will find to do it against.
Prediction: Team Liquid Win
TSM vs. 100 Thieves
Even at 6-3, analysts and fans are still not so sure about 100 Thieves. TSM played FlyQuest well and showed that overlooking them is a mistake. Luckily, that seems to be something that 100 Thieves do not do. They should win this one outright.
Prediction: 100 Thieves Win
Dignitas vs. Cloud9
Another 0-2 weekend for Dignitas and another weekend where they showed they can’t really beat anyone in the top half of the league. Despite their record and a weird loss to Immortals, Cloud9 are a great team. This is one that C9 win nine times out of 10.
Prediction: Cloud9 Win
Golden Guardians vs. FlyQuest
A flukey loss to TSM should not be enough to make FlyQuest fans lose hope. This team still has beaten 100 Thieves, Cloud 9 and ruined CLG when they were at their peak. They need a refocus game and Golden Guardians are more than up to that task. This one will be closest game of day 1 buy FlyQuest should still come out on top.
Prediction: FlyQuest Win
LCS Picks Week 5 Summer 2022 Day 2
Team Liquid vs. CLG
CLG really pulled the short straw this weekend didn’t they? Team Liquid are not unbeatable but they have only lost to 100 Thieves, EG and TSM in a weird one. TL seem to figure it out against teams below, even if it isn’t pretty. Take TL here but expect this one to be close.
Prediction: Team Liquid Win
Golden Guardians vs. Cloud9
Cloud9 should be one of the best teams in the league, and with their full roster they have been. That said, this feels like a trap game for them as Golden Guardians are no slouch. This game will be decided in the jungle. If Pridestalkr can keep up with Blaber and capitalize on his mistakes then GG can win. If not, then it could be a 28 minute victory for C9.
Prediction: Cloud9 Win
Evil Geniuses vs. 100 Thieves
This is arguably a battle of the top two teams. That said, EG feel like they are starting to separate from the pack. 100 Thieves will have to be at their best and see the Abbedagge that showed up in Week 4 do it again in Week 5. Even at their best though, Evil Geniuses still seem to be good enough to stave them off.
Prediction: Evil Geniuses Win
TSM vs. Immortals
While many may not tune in for this game, this should be a competitive one. Both teams are vying for a playoff spot and this game will determine a lot. If Immortals lose it then they are 0-2 against TSM which hurts their chances greatly. Unfortunately for them SOul, Instinct and Chime looked solid in Week 4 which is more than enough to enable Spica and Maple. TSM take this one even though it may be close.
Prediction: TSM Win
Flyquest vs. Dignitas
Of the top teams, FlyQuest have a pretty easy week. With that, they need to take care of business. All the other top five teams are playing each other which gives FlyQuest their opportunity to strike. Look for them to take care of business here and end the week in a good position at 7-4.
