LCS Power Rankings: 2022 Summer Split Week 6

The LCS 2022 season started with EG surprising everyone and rising to the top much earlier than anticipated. Now, everyone is playing catchup. Some teams made moves while others stayed put. It was another crazy week in the LCS as someone finally took down EG. With that here are the LCS 2022 Summer Split Week 6 Power Rankings.

10. DIG (2-9)

(Last Week: 10)

Adding Spawn seemed to help a bit but what does it really accomplish when the team still looks pretty bad? Dignitas have it rough and there does seem to be an end in sight. This team is nearly an automatic win for whoever they play that is not IMT or TSM right now.

9. TSM (3-8)

(Last Week: 8)

The win over FlyQuest was short-lived as TSM had a pretty bad weekend. They were in the driver’s seat against IMT and then Revenge did Aatrox things. This team is going to experience growing pains while pulling off some unexpected wins. Due to eight teams making playoffs, TSM are still in the hunt but only barely.

8. IMT (3-8)

(Last Week: 9)

What is that? Two wins in their last three games? Immortals made some good progress this weekend. They made Team Liquid sweat a bit while Revenge and Kenvi carried the team against TSM. If those two get it going more consistently then this team could still make a push for the sixth spot in playoffs.

7. GGS (4-7)

(Last Week: 7)

The bottom of the LCS is really starting to separate itself from the rest of the league. Golden Guardians seem to be the gatekeepers right now between the really bad and the average. Considering the talent on this team, it is hard to watch them struggle every game. Their game plans are confusing and they seem to lack an understanding of where their points of pressure are. This team can still make a run but right now they just look like an easier first-rounder in the lower bracket.

6. CLG (6-5)

(Last Week: 6)

The dichotomy between both games this weekend for CLG is astounding. They got smashed against Evil Geniuses and then Palafox played likely the best game of his career against Team Liquid. This team is very middle of the road but occasionally they will surprise literally everyone.

5. TL (7-4)

(Last Week: 3)

TL better thank Bwipo in a very serious way. They could have gone 0-2 had he not carried in a crazy way against Immortals. They did not look good against CLG and the confidence everyone once had in this team is all but gone. They are still a good team. But that is not good enough. Everyone expected them to be great and sadly it just has not come together.

Tied 3. C9 (6-5)

(Last Week: 4)

Both Flyquest and Cloud9 are basically the same in nearly every way. Because of that they will be tied for the first time ever in these LCS Power Rankings. A 2-0 weekend was expected even if the games were a bit close. This team is finally over .500 for the first time this summer and have recovered from the mistakes in their 0-3 start. Week 6 will be a decider for Cloud 9. Are they the team everyone thinks they should be or are they still just on the outside of Worlds’ contention?

Tied 3. FlyQuest (7-4)

(Last Week: 5)

This is an unbelievably fun team. Not only is Toucouille playing out of his mind but Josedeodo and Johnsun are having the split of their careers. Aphromoo and Philip deserve a lot of credit in making sure this ship runs. Should FlyQuest take down Cloud 9 and Evil Geniuses next week then they will undoubtedly be the top team in the LCS.

2. 100T (7-4)

(Last Week: 2)

What a fantastic win for Abbedagge and 100 Thieves. All the questions and criticism thrown their way and they dismantle Evil Geniuses really for the first time this split. While it would be correct to question why they are still not at the top, Evil Geniuses still feel like the better and more consistent team. That said, this win by 100 Thieves makes it very possible that they could take that top spot should EG show any sign of weakness.

1. EG (9-2)

(Last Week: 1)

A much-needed loss was handed to them courtesy of 100 Thieves, the second-best team in the league. Why was this needed? Well, Evil Geniuses had basically no adversity so far this split. Even their lone loss was more of a throw than anything. 100 Thieves handled them and showed that they can take this top spot of EG are not careful. This team is still the best in the LCS but they have failures to learn from and this should only make them better from here on out.
