The League of Legends preseason is one of the most fun times of the year for any League player. Preseason is typically filled with wild game balance and many new and exciting features.

A limited amount of information has been released about preseason so far. We know that there are two new dragons – Chemtech and Hextech. A new feature called ‘objective bounties’ will be added that serves as a teamwide comeback mechanic, and new items and item updates have been announced as well. With that being said, here are three things we want in Preseason 2022.

The two new elemental dragons seem like a strong step towards making dragons more impactful to the game. While elemental dragons have been a large step forward in making the objective more important, hopefully these two new additions will make dragons feel more diverse in how they change the game.

Mythic items were introduced this season and drastically changed itemization in League of Legends. With an entire year under our belt with the new system, players have seen a lot of pros and cons to mythic items. One hope we have going forward is for mythic items to feel more diverse instead of making it seem like each champion has one streamlined build.

Scuttle Crab is getting a hard nerf in the preseason to minimize the impact it has on the early game. While this is justified, we hope that scuttle crab does not become irrelevant as an early game objective. Scuttle provides a good early game reason to play with your jungler which has been a good change compared to previous seasons where mid laners could justify fully abandoning their junglers until later.
