Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Guide – All Bosses And How To Defeat Them

As you may have expected in an action adventure game like this, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy features several boss fights to tackle. Considering Eidos Montreal’s history of hit-or-miss bosses in the Deus Ex series, not to mention the underwhelming foes in Marvel’s Avengers, one could be forgiven for being wary. Thankfully, there are a good number of bosses and each gets the proper amount of time to shine. Some of the lengthier fights are also quite impressive and serve as the game’s biggest highlights.

Here are all of the different boss fights in the game. Spoilers follow, especially for the final boss so be warned:

• Dweller-In-Darkness
• Blood Brothers
• Inquisitor
• Shadow Guardians
• Glah-Ree
• Thanos
• Wendigo
• Fin Fang Foom
• Grand Unifier Raker
• Magus

Utilizing your teammates’ different abilities can help in these encounters so don’t hold back. It’s also important to keep an enemy’s Stagger bar in mind – once it’s depleted, they’ll take more damage. Drax specializes in Stagger damage so make sure to use his abilities on tougher foes before piling on some of the bigger attacks. Some bosses also like to throw smaller enemies at the player so ensure that you’re saving the crowd control abilities for those instances.

Finally, while it can definitely seem gimmicky, the Huddle is an extremely effective move. Along with increasing damage and resetting cooldowns for your team’s abilities, it also restores everyone to full health. Make sure to use it when you’re either ready to deal some big damage on a boss or as a comeback mechanic when your team is on the ropes. Either way, try not to waste it on the smaller foes if possible.
