Marvel’s Midnight Suns Has Been Delayed Until the Second Half of 2022

Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the supernatural tactical RPG based on a Marvel comic book storyline, has been pushed back to the second half of 2022.

In other words, we’re going to have to wait a good eight months, maybe more, before someone mods a stakeable Edward Cullen into the monster-slaughtering game. The delay was announced yesterday, via Twitter, stating that X-Com developers Firaxis “..need more time to make this the best game possible.”

Midnight Suns was pencilled in for a March 2022 release when it was announced back in August. The game will see Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Magik, Blade and more uniting to defeat the forces of evil. We’re particularly curious whether if those forces will try to get under Wolverine’s skin because he’s been responsible for more than a few deaths himself.

The statement ends with an optimistic “Thanks for understanding” and, as of the time of writing, no one’s responded to the announcement by tweeting a barrage of swears at Firaxis. That said, there are a few people insisting they use to the delay to remove the card-based elements from the game. We very much doubt that’ll happen.

Midnight Suns should, if all goes according to plan, arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in the second half of 2022.
