Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is launching on PC next month, and it’ll enjoy the benefits of moving to more powerful hardware. Spider-Man will still have ray tracing options, but it does so with an uncapped framerate on PC. That’s some good news. Today, Sony revealed the PC specs for Spider-Man, detailing the requirements needed in order to push the friendly neighborhood super hero to the limit.
Marvel’s Spider-Man looked great on the PlayStation 4, but the game will shine on PC. The remastered version will include Nvidia DLSS, ray-traced reflections, an uncapped framerate, and support for monitors up to ultrawide. The port, brought to us by Nixxes Software, will also run the gamut of options, from anti-aliasing to SSAO and rendering modes. There’s little question that Spider-Man Remastered will look and perform its best when it launches for PC.
But that’s enough gushing about the platform; let’s talk details. Requirements for the PC version of Spider-Man Remastered get, unsurprisingly, pretty steep. However, it looks to be well optimized, as the minimum requirements ask for a GTX 950 GPU, an i3-4160 CPU, and 8 GB of RAM. At the highest end, for ray tracing, DLSS, and 4K at 60 fps, you’re going to need something more beastly. The Ultimate Ray Tracing setting demand an RTX 3080 or RX 6950 XT GPU, an i7-12700K or Ryzen 9 5900X CPU, and 32 GB of RAM. That’s quite the climb. Hopefully some of you made out well following the recent drop in hardware prices.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered PC requirements are a lot, but the game itself is bringing even more. It’ll include the base game, which was already a fairly lengthy open-world action romp through New York City. The remastered version also includes all the DLC, which showcases Felicia Hardy as Black Cat. Pre-ordering the game on Steam or EGS will unlock a few suits and the Spider-Drone gadget early. But as someone who’s beaten the game, you should note that these things come naturally via progression. So don’t sweat not getting them super early.
Peter Parker will be joined by Miles Morales soon. The Morales spin-off game is also set to come out on PC later this fall, and I assume the requirements will be similar to the above. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, however, will super-hero land first on August 12.
