Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date, According to AI

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was announced during the PlayStation Showcase on May 24.

Fans rejoiced at the idea of a full-fledged remake of the iconic title. Snake Eater is one of the greatest video games of all time and we’re finally getting a remake on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. According to Konami, the game will faithfully reproduce the classic story and elements from the original while adding new elements. As well, the game will feature the original voices including David Hayter as Snake.

Sadly, a release date was not revealed alongside the announcement. But, that got us thinking… can AI predict when the game is coming out so we can at least keep the hype train rolling? We asked Google’s Bard AI chatbot when it thinks MGS Delta: Snake Eater is coming out.

“Konami has not announced a release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but it is expected to release in 2024. The game was announced during the PlayStation Showcase 2023 event, and Konami has said that it is currently in development. Based on the information that is currently available, it is likely that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will release in the second half of 2024.”

Bard also highlighted that there are some factors that could delay the game’s release date. It cited the development team and the scope of the game, but even said that Konami might push it along faster because of how popular and likely of a commercial success the remake is.

So, according to AI, we’re looking at the second half of 2024 which is down the road a bit. but, MGS fans alike want this remake to be done properly. So, perhaps it’s not that far if the release is spot on.
