Metal: Hellsinger brings the noise to the biggest ever Gamescom concert

We were already looking forward to Metal: Hellsinger releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC soon, but prior to launch of the game proper, it’ll be Gamescom which is the musical focus as Funcom and The Outsiders look to host the biggest concert in Gamescom history. It could be said that they are about to bring the noise!

Come August 25th 2022, publisher Funcom, the development team at The Outsiders, the Gamescom circus and those at Level Infinite will be found dedicating an entire hall of the event to a massive live concert, with performances coming from the game’s celebrated metal musicians.

We’ve been hands-on with Metal: Hellsinger already and think that this could well be one of the freshest shooters of the generation. It’s a game which is due to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC come September 15th 2022; a time when we’ll be fully reviewing.

Before that though is the musical masterpiece promised at Gamescom. It’s here where Metal: Hellsinger, the heavy metal rhythm shooter from publisher Funcom and developer The Outsiders, will take to the stage in the largest live concert ever seen at the event. Several of the game’s celebrated vocalists will perform their songs from the game, which are written by Swedish composer duo, Two Feathers.

The mixing of music and game will start at 7pm CEST, streamed live for all to watch. To get a feel of what is to come, feast your eyes and ears on the trailer below.

If you’re unaware, Metal: Hellsinger has shot past one million demo downloads and taken in a rapid climb up the Steam wishlist, as Funcom and The Outsiders turn it up to 11 by gathering an astounding number of the game’s metal icons to perform, including Matt Heavy (Trivium), Alissa White-Glüz (Arch Enemy), Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity), Dennis Lyxzén (Refused/INVSN), and James Dorton (Black Crown Initiate). Whilst the game won’t be free, the massive event is, open to thousands of people, thanks to an entire hall being reserved for it. Even more will be able to witness the mayhem on the livestream, which will be detailed at a later point.

Those attending Gamescom have free access to the show, and the first 200 to enter will get a bagful of exclusive Metal: Hellsinger merch.

Once it arrives in September, Metal: Hellsinger will push you to slay to the beat, and the more intense the experience gets, the more the music will unfolding, culminating in full vocals blasting as you tear through demons. Dive headfirst into the fires and frost of the Hells in search of vengeance.

Metal: Hellsinger releases September 15th 2022 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC via Steam. You can get pre-ordering pretty much everywhere, with the Xbox Store handling the Xbox download you will need.
