Both Middlesbrough and Preston North End will be looking to return to winnings ways when they lock horns in a crucial Championship match at Riverside stadium on Tuesday night with kickoff at 22:45.
Middlesbrough have made an inconsistent Championship campaign this season as they have claimed six wins, five draws and seven draws in their 18 matches and currently sit in the 14th spot on 23 points only two points above their Tuesday’s opponents and three outside the top half.

Frankie McAvoy’s side head into the game on the back of a 1-2 defeat to Cardiff last Saturday, which was their second defeat in row in the Championship as they suffered 3-0 at the hands of Nottingham Forest before the international break.
Prior to defeats Preston were on the high edging Bournemouth 2-1 and will be looking to build on that as they aim at bouncing back to winning ways, but that won’t be easy for the visitors who have been poor on the road this season managing just six points in nine away games.
