Minimalist Puzzler Hook 2 Out Now on the Play Store

We told you this was going to happen. We told you and you didn’t listen. Or maybe you did. Did you listen when we said Hook 2 was coming to the Play Store at the end of June? Well, it’s the end of June and Hook 2 is out on the Play Store. So yet again we got something right. Not to brag, or anything.

The game is a sequel to the excellent Hook, and sees you trying to unravel a series of tangles that end in – wait for it – hooks. It adds new and intriguing mechanics as you play, and you’re going to have to think carefully to get to the end of every level.

There’s no time limit or score or any of those other distractions that modern mobile puzzlers are filled with. It’s just you and the challenge. There’s something deeply pleasant about that. Here’s a trailer, which is also pretty pleasant.

There’s a good deal of spatial reasoning going on here, and a lovely simple aesthetic that isn’t going to make your eyes hurt, even when you’re scrunching them up in confusion.

And on top of that, there are no ads or IAPs – you pay your money, you gets your game. If you’d like to give Hook 2 a go, you can click here to download it from the Play Store. And we think you should. Because it looks really good. Cool.
