Modern Warfare II Will Have New Grand Prix Map to Play During Beta

The Modern Warfare II beta will have a new Grand Prix map. The 6v6 map is located in an urban race circuit and can be tested during the entirety of the beta. It seems the map is designed and based on the Singapore Grand Prix based on the Marina Bay lettering.

This is a pretty creative crossover since the explosion of F1 racing popularity over the past few years. Bringing the two fandoms together seems like a no brainer.

During the Call of Duty Championship, Activision announced the dates for the upcoming open beta set for September. PlayStation fans will be able to play a weekend earlier before the rest of the platforms can join.

Activision described the beta in a press release.

“The Modern Warfare beta is set to feature a robust multiplayer experience going beyond the core 6v6 experience with a variety of meticulously designed maps of various sizes, and an equally impressive set of Modes, Progression experiences, and other aspects.”

Fans can learn more about the beta and the upcoming Call of Duty title at the Call of Duty: Next, a franchise showcase, set to broadcast on Sept. 15.
