Multiplayer pirate mayhem in Plunder Panic

There’s a new pirate game in town and we’re not talking about Skull and Bones for a change. This one is all about teaming up with friends locally or online and taking down rival pirate ships using any method you can think. Plunder Panic is out today on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, featuring cross play between platforms and PC.

Plunder Panic is an arcade co-op title for up to 12 players in total. Teams of up to six crewmates must turn the tide in their favour and defeat the opposing crew. They can utilise a variety of methods to ensure they’re the pirate crew that will be singing long into the night.

You can destroy enemy ships using either the cannon or by rowing a boat of explosives into their ship. You can arm your crewmates up with swords and attempt to kill the opposing captain. Or, you can do what a pirate does best and plunder all their treasure. As you can imagine with 12 pirates jumping all over the place and many objectives to keep an eye on, action is fast and frenetic to say the least! The launch trailer below will so you just how chaotic:
