Warner Bros. upcoming 2v2 battler MultiVersus has entered Early Access, but the price point on the free-to-play game’s Founder’s Pack has raised some eyebrows.
MultiVersus’ Open Beta is set to kick off in just a few days time on July 16, but the game is in its Early Access period right now. Players who are keen to get the first hands-on look at the upcoming free-to-play game can do so by purchasing one of the game’s Founder’s Packs — but they cost a pretty penny.
With three variations to choose from, the Founder’s Packs offer not only instant Early Access to the Open Beta, but also provide a number of other extras. Below, we’ve broken down how much each of the Founder’s Packs costs and what’s included in them.

Founder’s Pack Standard Edition – $39.99
Founder’s Pack Deluxe Edition – $59.99
Founder’s Pack Premium Edition – $99.99
Each pack contains a variety of offerings. Gleamium is the game’s Premium currency, available to buy separately, with 450 Gleamium costing $4.99 for reference. Character Tokens are used to instantly unlock new fighters, without having to unlock them through other means.
But what’s surprising is that even though the standard Founder’s Pack still sits at $39.99, it doesn’t come with a Premium Battle Pass, which players will need to fork over some extra cash in order to purchase.
Of course, players don’t need to purchase the Founder’s Packs, or anything, to enjoy the game in its base form once it launches. It remains to be seen if the game’s economy changes over time once it’s out in the wild.
