MultiVersus is a title that had some rumours recently with suggestions that Warner Bros was working on a Smash like fighting game, and now it has been confirmed as a real game. MultiVersus will see characters from a number of different franchises fighting each other including Shaggy from Scooby Doo, Batman, Superman, Bugs Bunny, and Arya from Game of Thrones. So far the roster includes Arya Stark, Bugs Bunny, Batman, Finn, Jake, Garnet, Harley Quinn, Reindog, Shaggy, Steven Universe, Superman, Tom & Jerry, and Wonder Woman. That is just the opening roster with more characters to be revealed later on, along with more maps and customisation options. It looks like MultiVersus wil be going down the seasons route as well. In addition, players can sign up to join the playtest for MultiVersus by going to the official site. MultiVersus will focus on co-op play with teams of two playing together to face off against other teams, but there is also a solo mode for those who prefer it. Modes include 2v2, 1v1, and Free For All.
MultiVersus is going to be a free to play game and it will also support cross platform play. Player First Games is the development team behind the game. The studio has confirmed that MultiVersus will have rollback netcode for its online play. The game has been confirmed for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
