Need For Speed Unbound Reveals Its Open World Map – Lakeshore City

Well that was fast. Need For Speed Unbound just got announced and the racing game series, with a radical new anime-ish look, already revealed the entirety of its open world map- Lakeshore City.

Lakeshore City is definitely inspired by the American Midwest cities, like Chicago. Or Burnout Paradise’s Paradise City but with the eastern side of the map being more gloomy.

(Need For Speed Unbound developers, Criterion Games, also developed Burnout Paradise.)

The city itself has an L-Train, the site hinted that the train tracks are drivable. There’s a highway loop that surrounds downtown, with multiple interchanges and lanes. The eastern side of the map are just squiggly lines that make up the mountain roads, which means there’s potential to do some touge racing or go on a drift run.

Similar to the previous Need For Speed, Need For Speed Unbound will also have a regular circuit to push your car to the limit while not hitting the streets. Down south of Lakeshore City is a quarry to hoon around in dirt.

The interactive map, which you can see in closer detail here, also places pins on the car shop, a safehouse, and a meetup place for multiplayer.

Need For Speed Unbound also has revealed its full car list.

Need For Speed Unbound will be out on December 2 this year for the PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Origin) and Xbox Series X|S.
