Netflix Brings World Of Goo Back With High-Res Polish – Droid Gamers

The indie classic World Of Goo just made a reappearance on Google Play, and now under the Netflix umbrella, there are a few new upgrades.

World Of Goo Remastered is available for Netflix subscribers to download, and brings the beloved puzzle game back with an improved save system and new high-res textures to suit modern screens.

The original has won more awards than you can count on both hands. So, what’s all the fuss about?

All About World Of Goo

World Of Goo is a puzzle game that’s simple in principle. You have a bunch of adorable little goo balls with eyes. You can place them and they’ll stick to each other, other goo balls can climb up the structure, so you can use the goo to build your way through a level.

Be careful though, goo is subject to all the laws of physics, and if your bridge or tower isn’t properly supported, it can collapse under its own weight. This becomes even more of a problem when faced with things that cause harm to your spherical buddies.

There’s a story too in World Of Goo. A shifty company expands its reach across the world, with some sinister plans for the goo balls and the world that they inhabit.

A Dark And Beautiful World

This world is a strange, sometimes unsettling place full of wonders and perils. You’ll cross valleys, climb up towers, journey into the dark hearts of factories, and even explore cyberspace. The world might end.

Throughout this, you’ll also earn spare balls of goo that you can use at the World Of Goo corporation to build a tower upwards. What for? Well, you won’t know unless you get building.

If this takes your interest, check out the listing on Google Play. You’ll need to have a Netflix subscription if you want to try it out.
