NFL 2022 Preview: Buffalo Bills favorite to win Super Bowl LVII

The NFL preseason has kicked off and the all-new 2022 NFL regular season is just around the corner.

The NFL preseason gives football fans and punters plenty of insight into the season to come. However, the football won’t get too serious until Week 1 of the campaign.

The Buffalo Bills are the bookmakers’ favourite to win the Super Bowl. After starting at odds of +750 along with the KC Chiefs, the Bills have pulled ahead.

The Bills are still favorite with leading sportsbooks. Not all bookies feel the same about the Chiefs’ chances of winning Super LVII.

The NFL 2022 season starts on Thursday, September 8. The season will begin with the Los Angeles Rams, last year’s Super Bowl winners, playing against the Bills.

The NFL 2022 season will finish on February 12, 2023. The final game of the campaign will be the Super Bowl. This season’s Super Bowl will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The Los Angeles Rams won Super Bowl LVI last season against the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 thanks to a fourth-quarter comeback. The Rams are one of the favorites to lift the Lombardy Trophy once more in 2023.

At the beginning of the NFL’s 2021 campaign, the Rams were at odds of +1200 to win the Super Bowl. Super Bowl runners-up, the Bengals, were +15000 to win the NFL’s marquee game.

The Bengals’ run to the Super Bowl shows the NFL season is not straightforward. The NFL regular season is one reason sports fans across America love the gridiron game more than the NBA and MLB. It is a sprint to the finish line with just 17 regular season match-ups.

Several bookies, including Bovada, have the Bills as the favorite to win Super Bowl LVII. Let’s delve into the odds for the 57th edition of the Super Bowl.

Cincinnati did brilliantly last season and truly came out of left field to make the Super Bowl for the first time in more than three decades. Right now, the Bengals are +2200 to win the Super Bowl.

It seems unlikely that they will get back to the Super Bowl and frankly, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this season ends closer to .500. The AFC is stacked with top teams and Cincinnati won’t be able to surprise anyone this time.

The Rams are +1100 at the moment. Matt Stafford is nursing an elbow injury in preseason, but coach Sean McVay will have the offense ready to go in Week 1. Critics claim the Rams roster isn’t as strong as last season and that Tampa Bay’s is better in the NFC.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the favorites to win the Super Bow. Yet, quarterback Tom Brady, who backed out of retirement over the summer, is missing in action.

Brady hasn’t looked good in practice and has taken 10 days away from the Bucs for “personal reasons”. He is 45 and it is unlikely he has too many hits, throws, or runs left in the tank.

The Bills are the Bills, and for some fans, it is hard to forget the clutch of Super Bowls they lost in the early 1990s. The Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs are currently sentimental favorites to make it to the Super Bowl.

Personally, I like a Super Bowl match-up of the Packers and Chiefs. The Dallas Cowboys could be a long shot to get to the big game at odds of +2000. The Denver Broncos are another long shot to make the Super Bowl. Their odds to win it are at +1600.
