NFL Draft Prospects to Watch in College Football Week 13 Recap

While the 2023 NFL Draft is still far off in the distance, players that will be drafted early are on the field now. Each week presents unique matchups for draft prospects and this week is no different. Here are NFL Draft prospects to watch in college football week 13 recap.

1. C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State lost a tough game to Michigan that didn’t end up being close. The defense was mostly to blame, but the offense failed to deliver in key moments. Stroud had a solid day, passing for 349 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions on 31 of 48 passing. Both interceptions hit receivers hands, but the first shouldn’t have been thrown.

While it wasn’t his best game, Stroud has done a lot to help his draft stock this season. He has been accurate and composed. The loss may have cost Ohio State a chance at the College Football Playoff, but Stroud is still projected to be a top-five pick.

2. Ryan Hayes, OT, Michigan Wolverines

Michigan got a big win over Ohio State because of big plays in the first half and their ability to run the ball in the second half. Their offensive line started off shaky, but really got some momentum in the second half. Hayes gave up a pressure in the first half, but also improved in the second half.

Hayes has played solidly this season and helped the Wolverines run the ball well. He has been physical at the point of attack and has helped Michigan establish an identity. Hayes is a projected mid-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

3. Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame lost to USC to finish their season at 8-4. They played efficiently offensively, but had some costly mistakes. Their best player, Mayer, had an incredible game. He finished his outing with eight catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns.

In this game, Mayer showcased his ability to get open and make contested catches. He will be a nice security blanket for an NFL team next season. Mayer will be the first tight end off the board in the 2023 NFL Draft He is a projected first-round pick.

4. Tuli Tuipulotu, DL, USC Trojans

USC kept their playoff hopes alive with their win over Notre Dame. Their offense had more of the highlight plays, but their defense played well. Tuli Tuipuloto had a solid game against the Fighting Irish. He had two tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack.

Although it wasn’t his best performance, Tuipulotu got a sack against one of the best offensive lines in the country. He also helped limit a good Notre Dame running offense. His stock will not be changed by this game either positively or negatively. Tuipulotu is a projected first or second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

5. Tank Bigsbsy, RB, Auburn Tigers

Auburn lost a tough one to their rivals in the Iron Bowl. Their offense couldn’t keep up with Alabama because the Crimson Tide were able to stack the box against the run. Bigsby had a decent day with 15 carries for 63 yards. He added four catches, but they netted -1 yards.

Bigsby has played well this season despite Auburn struggling as a team. He has run against stacked boxes all season long and has still been successful. Bigsby will be one of the first running backs selected in the 2023 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a day-two pick.
