NFL News: Must-Bet Games – Week 7 of the 2022 Season

After the announcement that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will receive a six-game suspension related to his violations of the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the most interesting sports betting lines in Week 7 involves the Cleveland Browns visiting the Baltimore Ravens. Unless the NFL appeals the length of the suspension, Watson would take the field as a Brown for the first time in Baltimore. The Ravens have failed to bring in more receiving talent around Lamar Jackson, but this will be Watson’s first competitive game as a quarterback since a loss to the Tennessee Titans in the wild-card round after the 2020 season. We haven’t yet seen a line for the Browns-Ravens game, but expect Watson to show some rust for a few weeks. Check out some must-bet games that we’ve picked from Week 7.

Looking ahead to Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season, let’s look at your top NFL betting matchups.

NFL News: Must-Bet Games in 2022 for Week 7

→Sunday, October 23

Green Bay Packers (-3) at Washington Commanders

The Green Bay Packers will always be a force to be reckoned with as long as Aaron Rodgers is at quarterback. His wide receiver pairing of Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard is not as good as other pairings that he has had, but with his arm and accuracy, the Packers are in every game he plays, no matter who is running routes. With Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillion carrying the ball, the Packers won’t have to rely on Rodgers to perform all of the miracles.

The Washington Commanders will have a stout offense, led by Chase Young, once again. The quarterback this time around is Carson Wentz, who burned out of Philadelphia and Indianapolis. Wentz struggles under pressure and finished the 2021 season with some awful turnovers at just the wrong time. Wentz did, though, start the 2021 season well with the Colts, so it won’t surprise me if the Commanders put up some points on Green Bay. However, I don’t see Wentz winning this duel.

Final Prediction: Green Bay 34, Washington 24

Detroit Lions (+6.5) at Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are a team that excels when it comes to blowing out teams that are well below them in the NFL’s pecking order. We saw this when they beat Atlanta by 40 points and Washington by 42 points last season. When it comes to playing teams at or above their level, the Cowboys are a completely different story, but in a game like this, the Cowboys should be a lock.

Detroit is caught in the malaise of a seemingly neverending rebuild, with some quality pieces around quarterback Jared Goff. However, until the team finds the franchise quarterback it needs, the Lions will not be able to contend in the NFC, and games like this one in Dallas will remain out of their reach.

Final Prediction: Dallas 38, Detroit 20

Chicago Bears (+5) at New England Patriots

This game should feature a duo of exciting young quarterbacks on Monday Night Football. Justin Fields is a signature talent as a mobile quarterback, and Mac Jones is a second-year signal-caller who led the New England Patriots to a wild-card berth in his rookie season. However, the Bears have failed to line up much talent around Fields, and the Patriots are still mired in a rebuild as well.

The Patriots have the better defensive mind at head coach, and they have an established quarterback with some success on the field. The Bears may have the higher ceiling at quarterback, given Fields’ gifts, but he has not had the system around him yet to be able to flourish. This should be a relatively easy win for the Patriots.

Final Prediction: New England 27, Chicago 13
