Ninjas in Pyjamas to Move Its Valorant Operation to Brazil

Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), a competitive Esports brand hosting a team in Valorant, has decided to move its Valorant operation to Brazil.

The brand announced its move earlier today, Wednesday, Nov. 3. According to a post on its website, the decision is meant to further follow a goal that would see NIP “have esports teams in all relevant categories in their respective most relevant regions.” For example, they currently have a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team in one of the title’s most popular regions: Europe. It has also been influenced by the growing popularity of the brand inside Latin America.

“The massive following and support we have from the fans there is huge, it means the world to us. We want to give you more NIP to cheer for,” NIP wrote.

NIP is currently planning to place a brand new headquarters in the region in the hopes to kickstart a “Ninjas in Brazil division.” Once placed, they’ll be working with their partners throughout the Valorant community in order to transform the region into the flagship location within the game.

“Brazil is like our second home,” Jonas Gundersen, COO, explained, “The rich FPS history in the country and the raw talent base of players is impossible to overlook, and we are so excited to bring both the Young Ninjas academy and main team philosophies to the region.”

Unfortunately, as a result of the massive move, NIP has released its European Valorant players from the brand. All players within the European Valorant division are “allowed to explore new opportunities” at the time of writing. NIP thanked them and wished them “nothing but the best” in all their future plans.

A timeframe for the move is currently unclear. However, effectively dissolving its existing Valorant team sends a strong message of commitment.
