The 27-year-old is back at his former team after eight months in VALORANT.
NKT have announced through their official Twitter account the return of Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga to the team’s roster, serving as the team’s in-game leader following the departure of longtime captain Anthony “ImpressioN” Lim last week.
erkaSt originally left NKT and CS:GO altogether to focus on a shift to VALORANT, citing the tournament restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the state of the competitive scene in the Asia region, and wanting to explore a new opportunity as his main reasons through his Facebook profile.
erkaSt is back to lead NKT once again
After seven months of competing in a different game the Mongolian is back at NKT, hoping to replicate the success they experienced in 2021 where they found first-place finishes at Funspark ULTI 2021 Asia Regional Series 2 and Funspark ULTI 2021 Asia Playoffs 1.
NKT also reached the No. 1 status in Asia under erkaSt‘s leadership along with being a mainstay in the top five of the regional rankings, constantly challenging some of the region’s biggest names such as TYLOO and ViCi.
NKT‘s roster is the following:
Hyun-Pyo “XigN” Lee
Krit “Kntz” Chaiprasit
Gan-Erdene “dobu” Batbold
Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga
Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga
Piyangoon “MYM” Kitisin (coach)
