Old G to make another run in DPC 2023?

According to the player registration page Old G has a full lineup listed, registered in time for the DPC 2023 Season Spring Tour Open Qualifiers.

The roster deadline has passed and all teams are officially locked in for the DPC 2023 Season Spring Tour.

While most teams or players announce their intentions and new rosters, one group has quietly registered itself on the page, piquing interest from the community and fans.

Three months ago two-time, back-to-back TI champions Sebastien ‘Ceb‘ Debs, Johan ‘N0tail‘ Sundstein, Topias ‘Topson‘ Taavitsainen registered a team named Old G, along with Arif ‘MSS‘ Anwar and EEU veteran Vladimir ‘Noone-‘ Minenko.

However, the team fell short in the open qualifiers and never got a chance to compete in the league play after being knocked out in the closed qualifiers.

For this season, the team made a few changes in their lineup. In place of N0tail and MSS, Kartik “Kitrak” Rathi from NA and recently teamless Roman “Resolut1on” Fomynok seem to be assuming the vacancies.

The first of the open qualifiers is set to begin in WEU tomorrow, March 13th, so fans will get to see if the registration is legit and root for some of the community’s favorite players.

Spring Tour

This year’s DPC is still split into three Tours – Winter, Spring, and Summer, but the schedule for the regional leagues went down from six weeks to just three. However, the two divisions of each regional league will not be played in the same time frame. Division II starts once Division I matches are over.

  • Division 1 Regional League Tournament: March 12 – April 2, 2023
  • Division 2 Regional League Tournament: April 4 – 25, 2023
  • Major Tournament: April 26 – May 7, 2023

The second Major will be held in Berlin, Germany beginning April 26, but fans can watch live at Velodrom Arena from May 5-7th.
