Kiriko looks to be an interesting support hero, with her abilities of using a combination of a Kunai and Ofuda to damage enemies and heal teammates in a way like how Lucio’s Sonic Amplifiers work. She will be free for those who have played the first Overwatch.

Which brings us to Overwatch 2’s Battle Pass.

For those who haven’t played the original game, Kiriko will also be unlocked at level 55 as a free reward, with the other two remaining new heroes, Junker Queen and Sojourn, are unlocked immediately for this season only. But moving forward, Heroes will be part of the Season Pass which players would have to grind or buy the premium pass to get the character.

And although it’s price isn’t nearly has high as it’s publishers sister series, Call Of Duty, but it does set a shift in how we’ll be getting Heroes, skins and more, moving forward. You can learn more about it here.

Overwatch 2 is set to launch for Free on 4 October 2022 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
