Blizzard has released a new Overwatch update that is now available to download. You’ll need this latest patch in order to play the hero shooter in online multiplayer.
Overwatch update 3.25 offers some minor improvements to the game while also introducing a new seasonal skin. No new maps, modes, events, or any major content are added as part of this patch.
Some players will no doubt be dipping back in now that we have more Overwatch 2 news. Read more about the sequel and its upcoming closed beta after these patch notes.

An Overwatch 2 beta is expected in April and will be exclusive to PC with a closed alpha test already underway. To sign up for the beta, head to PlayOverwatch.com and register your interest. Access will be rolled out in phases.
The first PvP beta will include a bunch of new content from the pseudo sequel. This means that it will make the shift to 5v5 multiplayer, include the new Push game mode and hero reworks, as well as the new Damage hero called Sojourn. It’s described as the biggest public release of content since the game’s original 2016 launch.
Blizzard has confirmed it is separating the competitive PvP and co-op PvE in Overwatch 2. Since the new content and changes for PvP for Overwatch 2 will also be rolled back to the original game, the real meat of Overwatch 2, the reason to buy the new game was for the PvE experience. It’s not clear what this change will mean for the full release of Overwatch 2, but it’s a significant change.
We’ll hopefully see more gameplay as we approach the beta launch, with a clearer vision of when the full game is coming out.
