On 20 September 2022, PlayOjo was awarded the Best Use of Social Media in Entertainment award by the UK Social Awards, beating rivals such as Sky, TV Now and Netflix.
In recent years, PlayOjo has worked a lot with social media marketing and succeeded in becoming one of the leading experts in the field.
This year PlayOjo was nominated for “Best use of social media for entertainment” in the UK with their campaign Safe Bets featuring Love Island’s Olivia Bowen who did a parody for a commercial about safer sex.
The whole thing resembles a sex-enlightenment movie made in the 70s or 80s. A risky approach was filmed and shaped to create a humor and safer sex to catch the players’ attention for safe play.
Something that became very easy to share virally. The star from Love Island then describes that one should tame their sessions and enjoy safer games. At PlayOjo, of course!
Safe Mate that PlayOjo has for its players is a tool that was launched in 2021 (here you can read the article if you missed it) and in short it is the virtual assistant that helps you play responsibly around the clock.
This by always tracking your game and by reminding you when you should take a break from playing.
After testing the feature, players could test their knowledge through a quiz competition. In this competition, the winners were able to collect condoms with different packaging and puns that connected safe play and safe sex.
