PlayStation Now January 2022 line up includes Mortal Kombat 11 & Final Fantasy XII

PlayStation Now’s first line up of 2022 has been confirmed with Sony, with the service seeing the addition of six games from January 4th. Those games are Mortal Kombat 11, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, Fury Unleashed, Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition, Unturned, and Super Time Force Ultra.

Jan’s PS Now line up includes Mortal Kombat 11 and FFXII.

In our Mortal Kombat 11 review, Miguel wrote, “This game is the pinnacle of Mortal Kombat action. Fights are fluid, weighty, and gorgeous to look at. Unfortunately, that tightly-designed gameplay is bogged down by a grindy system of loot and consumables that only serves to artificially extend your playtime in the most tedious ways imaginable. There is so much heart and care put into this game, from the combat to the gorgeous visuals and memorable story, but that effort feels nullified by the desperate attempt to twist an iconic video game franchise into just another endlessly online service game.”

In our Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age review, Dom wrote, “Though I remember having a huge amount of fun with XII when it came out, it’s always been Final Fantasy X that was ‘my’ Final Fantasy game growing up. However, having replayed them both again in remastered form, it’s clearly XII which comes away the winner. A wonderful remaster with welcome enhancements, it’s remarkable just how fresh, fun and involving Final Fantasy XII feels over a decade later, with elements that still feel modern in a franchise well known for hanging onto the past.”

In our Kerbal Space Program review, I wrote, “Kerbal Space Program is one of the most educational games I have played in years. While I’m nowhere equipped to apply for the ESA or NASA Kerbal Space Program does make understanding the science of space travel easier to digest. It is a complicated game but offers a real sense of achievement when you get something right. There are a couple of issues when it comes to the actual user experience, like the movement of non fixed cameras and text sizes, but even if you have just a small interest in Space travel then this is recommended.”

Unfortunately, we did not do reviews for the other games that are listed so they can remain a mystery for you to explore if you wish. Or find reviews elsewhere, I guess.
