Pokemon Lost Origin Release Date: When is it?

Pokemon trading card trainers rejoice! A new expansion, Lost Origins, is on its way with a leaked release date.

The next expansion on the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) is about to hit shelves this autumn. Trainers no longer have to wait to plan out their teams for the next competition. With 190 new cards, 15 Trainer ability cards, seven new VSTARS, and more, this next TCG season is ramping up to be one of the most power-packed to date.

Here’s when to expect the next expansion of the Pokemon trading card game to hit shelves.

Pokemon Lost Origin will release on Sept. 9, according to leaks from PokeBeach.

PokeBeach, a popular Pokemon TCG site, revealed the date after having it confirmed by “multiple sources” in a post published Monday, June 20. Unfortunately, since the next major card competition, The Pokemon TCG World Championships takes place in mid to late August, this expansion will not be legal to use in its matches. This likely won’t affect much for trainers already preparing to compete, however.

The star of Lost Origins is, of course, Giratina Origin Forme VSTAR — a powerful twist on the “Renegade” Pokemon from Generation IV. Other highlights include “Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR, Enamorus V, and Brilliant Gardevoir.” The other six VSTAR Pokemon are Aerodactyl, Drapion, Magnezone, Kyurem, Hisuian Zoroark, and Hisuian Goodra.
