Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – Ver. 1.1.0 Update Goes Live Today, Nintendo Apologizes for Issues

Nintendo has had the biggest hit of the year with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, selling a whopping 10 million units worldwide in three days on Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, the ninth generation has started with a fair number of issues, from poor performance to glitches. A new update Ver. 1.1.0 goes live today and kicks off Season 1 of Ranked Battles, but Nintendo of America also apologized for performance issues encountered by players.

“We are aware that players may encounter issues that affect the games’ performance. Our goal is always to give players a positive experience with our games, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take the feedback from players seriously and are working on improvements to the games.”

Along with Ranked Battles Season 1, available in the Battle Stadium, an issue that caused the music not to play properly when fighting the Elite Four and Top Champion has also been fixed. Other “select” bug fixes have also been done.

There’s currently no time frame for performance improvements, so we’ll need to wait for more details. In the meantime, you can check out our official review here. You can also check out ten tips, which the games don’t tell you here.
