PowerWash Simulator Passes 3 Million Players

PowerWash Simulator had more than 3 million players since its full launch two months ago, developers FuturLab announced.

PowerWash Simulator tasks you with cleaning various spots, solo or co-op, by using power washers to blast the dust and grime away.

It’s a relaxing, oddly satisfying sim where all you do is clean up a mess in a very cathartic way.

The game is also available on Xbox and PC Game Pass day-1 of the full launch, which may have also helped boast the player numbers.

“Reaching 3 million players with our self soothing sim is an amazing milestone, and we have so many exciting things planned to expand the game,” said James Marsden, Founder and Co-CEO at FuturLab. “I can’t help but think this is just the beginning.”

It goes to show that games about mundane tasks are something worth doing, especially when it’s something as satisfying as shooting high-pressure water over grime that makes you see the result instantly like it’s a dishwashing soap commercial.

FuturLab is also working on something beyond PowerWash Simulator. Currently, they are developing “an all-new sci-fi adventure; the stylish, high-intensity third-person combat game” with publisher Thunderful, and is supposed to be the spiritual successor of the developer’s previous game, Velocity.
