Pragmata officially delayed by Capcom to 2023

Pragmata has been officially delayed by Capcom, which now states that the game will not be released until 2023. It is a bit strange that Capcom is only making the news official now. Back in January a sizzle reel from Sony placed Pragmata’s release date as 2023, so taking nearly 11 months to confirm the delay instead of immediately could mean Capcom were hoping to meet a 2022 date. To mark this delay, Capcom released a statement and a new piece of artwork for the game.

Hello everyone. Our team is hard at work on the project, but to ensure this will be an unforgettable adventure, we’ve decided to shift the release window to 2023. In the meantime, we have a brand new artwork to share with you. Thank you for your patience.

Pragmata is a Greek word, and means “the transcendent realities, noetic entities, real beings.” There’s definitely something otherworldly going on here, so we think sci-fi fans will be well served by this new title by Capcom, who are a dab hand at the old storytelling, and science fiction too. It looks as though it’ll be a single player narrative adventure, unless someone plays the astronaut, another the robot girl, and another a cat. The robot girl looks as though she can control the astronaut’s load out, with the reveal trailer showing her seemingly thinking of some kind of weaponry to help in the current, exceedingly dangerous, situation, and it being manufactured in his astronaut hip bag.
