PS Plus PC App Still Having Problems That Make Classic Games Unplayable

When PS Plus launched in Europe last week, reports started emerging that players using the Playstation Plus app were having problems playing classic games on their PC and it seems like those problems are still continuing this week. Not only are some games unable to be played, but some games are also missing from the catalog completely.

The problems with the PS Plus app for PC

There are two main issues with PlayStation Plus app on PC according. The first is that PS4, PS2, and PlayStation classic games are being mislabeled as PS3 games and they’re refusing to start up as a result. According to Reddit user Iamafatcupcake (thanks Eurogamer), some of the titles affected include Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition, Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, several Jak & Daxter games, and every single one of the 13 PlayStation classics.

The second problem is that many of the promised PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium games are missing from the list. Iamafatcupcake made a list of more than 100 games that are missing from the app, and this list doesn’t include any of the games that are mislabeled. You can see the list of missing games below:

Between the two ongoing errors, there’s a significant chunk of the library that can’t be accessed from a PC and players are getting understandably upset. So far, Sony has yet to acknowledge either of the issues, and support tickets raised about the problem are currently outstanding. We’ll let you know as soon as Sony makes a comment on the app’s woes.

In other news, Ubisoft has confirmed they will be appearing at Gamescom and players are hoping this means we’ll finally see the rumored Assassin’s Creed Rift. Elsewhere, EA reportedly has a Marvel game in development.
