Queens Park Rangers vs Huddersfield Town Match Analysis and Prediction

Queens Park Rangers will be looking for the win which could move the club into the Championship playoff spots when they take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

In sharp contrast, the visitors travel to Loftus Road sitting four points adrift of safety and desperately in search of just their second win of the season.

Following the change of management during the summer, QPR should feel relatively content with a return of 11 points from their opening eight matches.

However, Michael Beale will continue to demand more from his side with goal-laden performances being complemented by three 1-0 defeats.

QPR are also yet to keep a clean sheet this season with more than one goal being conceded in half of their matches in the second tier.

Off the back of hugely impressive victories over Watford and Hull City, the Hoops went down by a 1-0 scoreline at the hands of Swansea City last weekend.

However, the majority of their points have come at their London home, and there will be confidence that they can inflict more trouble on their upcoming opponents.

At the beginning of the season, Danny Schofield could have claimed with justification that the club’s poor performances were down to the minimal time working under his guidance after the depature of Carlos Corberan.

However, Huddersfield have now suffered five defeats in seven matches in the second tier, the most recent setback coming at the hands of Blackpool in contoversial circumstances.

The failure of goalline technology prevented the Terriers from scoring an equaliser against the Seasiders before they eventually came away with a 1-0 defeat at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Schofield’s side are now on a run of four games without a win and they make the trip to the capital having lost each of their away matches this season.

Queens Park Rangers news

Summer arrival Tyler Roberts and Aston Villa loanee Tim Ireogbunam are both pushing for opportunities in attack and midfield respectively.

Lyndon Dykes and Sam Field are most likely to miss out for the hosts, but the remainder of the team which started at Swansea City could remain the same for this contest.

Huddersfield Town news

Schofield is most likely to make changes to his Huddersfield XI, with Michal Helik potentially making his debut in the back three.

Duane Holmes could get the nod over Tino Anjorin, while Jordan Rhodes will feel that he deserves a chance ahead of Danny Ward down the middle of the attack.

Prediction and Odds

As much as Huddersfield have not had luck on their side this season, they are also responsible for their poor effort on their away matches.

With that in mind, we expect Queens Park Rangers to come away with all three points, potentially recording a clean sheet in the process.
