Rainbow Six Extraction update 1.02 fixes revive bug

Rainbow Six Extraction has a new update ready to deploy. You’ll need to download and install this latest patch if you want to squad up and gun down some Archaeans with your friends.

Ubisoft has announced a number of fixes to its co-op shooter following reports of the game crashing and other issues such as squad revives not working.

Rainbow Six Extraction is the publisher’s first big game release of 2022. Since launch it has amassed over 3 million players across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It’s not know how many of these players grabbed it as part of their Xbox Game Pass subscription.

• Fixed a crash that occurred on Xbox One & Xbox Series S/X when the language was set to Arabic
• Fixed a bug where displayed prices for REACT Credits appeared incorrectly in multiple local stores.
• You are now able to connect to the servers if you are set as Invisible in Ubisoft Connect.
• Fixed a bug where teammate revives did not work.
• HDR is now functional on PC AMD GPUs.
• Fixed certain matchmaking errors.
• General stability fixes.

We were generally positive in our Rainbow Six Extraction review, praising the strange spinoff for its slower pacing and dungeon-like mission designs:

It’s perhaps not what Tom Clancy fans had envisioned for the series, but there’s something to Rainbow Six Extraction that’s definitely worth checking out. It stands apart from similar co-op shooters thanks to that tactical edge and gunplay it’s inherited from Siege. That said, the repetitive nature of running missions, difficulty spikes, and overall presentation hold the game back. This is Ubisoft we’re talking about, however, so Extraction will likely sprout a long tail that will continue to grow over the coming months and years.

What’s next now the game has launched? Ubisoft has promised that more Extraction content is in the pipeline, hoping adding new regions to explore, enemies to fight, and Operators to master.

If you prefer Rainbow Six Siege then good news, we’re expecting to hear more about the multiplayer shooter’s seventh year of post-launch support.
