Rangers will be looking to bounce back from their bruising Old Firm defeat when they welcome Hearts to Ibrox Stadium for an important Scottish Premiership clash on Sunday evening with kickoff at 19:00.
Rangers have made a strong campaign this season with the club claiming 17 wins and five draws form their 24 matches while only suffering two defeats in the process and they currently sit second in the Premiership on 56 points with one point behind Celtic.
However, Rangers have faltered of late with the club only managing to win just two of their last five games across all competitions while they have only won one of their last four Premiership matches, a run that has them fall to a 3-0 defeat in the Old Firm derby.
The defeat saw Celtic dispatch the Gers in the top spot and they cannot afford a slip up in this match as that could widen the gap between them and the Hoops, which something that could be fatal to their tittle race.
Therefore, Rangers will head into the match guns blazing for the three points and they will fancy their chances as they are in a good home form having lost none of their last 14 home matches. Also, the last time they met Hearts they claimed a 2-0 victory and they will want to replicate that here.
Meanwhile Hearts have really enjoyed their life back in the top tier as they sit in the third place on 43 points collected from 24 matches with 13 points behind their opponents, which is something that Robbie Neilson would be delighted about.
With Ranger’s form lately, Hearts will see this as a perfect opportunity to close the gap slightly as they aim at putting more pressure on them. Although, the Jambos are also not in a really good form having claimed one win in their last three encounters and are coming off a 0-0 draw with Hibernian.
