Remaster Of Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance 2 Coming To PC and Consoles July 20

Interplay Entertainment and Wizards Of The Coast announced that the remaster of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 will release later this July.

This is a remaster of the 2004 console game on PS2 and the original Xbox. And this remaster is coming to modern consoles as well as, for the first time, on PC. The game will support Steam Remote Play (local co-op play via online multiplayer) and is Steam Deck verified.

Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance was the console spin-off to Baldur’s Gate- that mainline title is getting a new entry in Baldur’s Gate 3 by Larian Studios. This game is not associated with the underwhelming Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance game from last year, though all of the mentioned games are part of the D&D universe.

Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance 2 is a top-down action-RPG and features five playable characters and classes (barbarian, monk, necromancer, rogue or cleric), as well as dozens of locations (over 80 levels). You will be facing hordes of monsters ranging from Hobgoblins, Ghouls, Golems and yes, even Dragons while also ensure you survive by avoiding traps and attacks. You can play with up to two players via local co-op.

Also, all the characters have full voice-overs, and there are two secret characters to unlock that D&D fans might recognise: Drizzt Do’Urden and Artemis Entreri.

The newly revived Interplay brand has cited the success of Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance 1’s remaster as to why they are now bringing the same treatment to Dark Alliance 2.

The remaster of Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance 2 will be out on July 20 for the PS4, PC (Steam, GOG), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
