Roguelike Deckbuilder Roguebook Available Now for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

After 3 years of work, we can finally share Roguebook with you on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S!

We live in a particularly interesting moment in time for deckbuilders. While roguelike card games have seen their popularity rise in the PC world, one of our obsessions from the start of the project was to construct a game that had top-notch controller gameplay. From world exploration to deck construction and tense boss fights, everything’s been developed to deliver what is hopefully a fresh splash of entertainment for roguelike and card game players on console.

Roguebook

Roguebook has a strong emphasis on exploration. You must carefully control how you navigate the book, using your brush and inks as efficiently as possible. The more efficient you are at doing that, the more powerful you will be in battle. The overworld gameplay has been thought from the ground up with the controller in mind, and we hope the results will give great satisfaction. You’ll discover three chapters in the game, each taking place in a unique environment from our first game, Faeria.

Roguebook

Since our official PC release in June of last year, we’ve been constantly working on free content and feature updates for the game. We’ve added the ability to socket gems to your cards in battle, created an entirely new dungeon to explore called the “Gem mine”, and added a detailed run history to name a few – all available day one on the Xbox version of the game!

Roguebook

One thing that sets Roguebook apart from other games in this genre is its dual hero system. With four heroes in total, there are 6 possible unique combinations to play with – each of those combinations having several viable builds to try. The goal, of course, is for your experience to be a little different each time you play. With the console release, we’re also finally releasing a new 5th hero – this brings the total hero combinations up to a nice even 10. There’s never been a better time to start playing.

We’ve really enjoyed working on Roguebook, and hope you consider giving it a try!
