Sandy Shocks Evolution, Stats, Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In the post-game for the new Switch games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players can catch a bunch of new Pokémon known as Paradox Pokémon. One of these new types of Pokémon is Sandy Shocks. These Pokémon represent ancient or futuristic versions of classic Pokémon from the old generations. Here is some basic information to know about Sandy Shocks.

As part of the group of new Paradox Pokémon, Sandy Shocks does not have an evolutionary line. Sandy Shocks does closely resemble the first-generation Pokémon Magneton.

Sandy Shocks is an Electric and Ground-type Pokémon. It has the ability Protosynthesis which will boost its highest stat by 30 percent when battling in harsh sunlight or holding an energy booster. If Sandy Shocks’ largest stat is its Speed then it will be boosted by 50 percent.

After completing all three main stories featured in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players can search for Sandy Shocks. Sandy Shocks is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet and it can be caught in the Great Crater of Paldea. Be sure to look around the cliffs in Research Station 2. Paradox Pokémon can be rare Pokémon in Paldea so it is no surprise that Sandy Shock has a catch rate of 30 percent.

There are plenty of Paradox Pokémon so you will be busy even after beating the game’s story.
