sLowi has become the second HAVU member to depart the struggling Finnish team after Taneli “disturbed” Veikkola stepped down from the coaching position at the end of May.
The 26-year-old has been moved to the bench following a storied four-year career with the organization, during which he played over 1000 maps on HLTV and reached a high of 14th place in the world ranking.
sLowi will join the free agent pool in August after his contract expires
sLowi played myriad roles for the Finnish squad during his four years, from AWP to entry to in-game leader, winning several local LANs and online tournaments, and was the longest-tenured player on the team.
One of his best individual showings came at Flashpoint 1, where HAVU placed third and he was the top player at the tournament with a 1.25 rating across 26 maps. He also shined at the IeSF World Championship in 2018, a small international LAN in which he was also the highest rated player in his team’s championship run.
“We’ve experienced many bad and happy moments together, celebrated many trophies together,” says Lasse Salminen, HAVU CEO. “Due to difficult first half of 2022 we face big changes with our CS:GO team. This means us having to give sLowi a farewell.

The Finn will remain on HAVU‘s bench until his contract expires on July 31st, after which he will join free agency. Meanwhile, the team will be looking to add a fifth and a coach during their restructuring phase to try and bounce back from a lowly 94th place in the world ranking.
