I hope everyone has managed to navigate Friday the 13th successfully and made it through to the weekend, and what a weekend it’s going to be. It might not be a big bank holiday, there might not be Formula 1, but there’s a huge event that’s sure to grab everyone’s attention and keep them on the edge of the seat until the final result has been earnt. That’s right, it’s Eurovision! (Oh… and the FA Cup for football fans, I guess)
Can Great Britain earn even a couple points this year? Well, while we wait to find out, why not catch up on all our round up of all the gaming news from the past week?

Games in Review & Features
Just a couple of reviews this week, which were:
- Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising – PS5, XSX|S, PS4, XBO, NSW, PC – 8/10
- Trek to Yomi – PS5, XSX|S, PS4, XBO, PC – 6/10
Thankfully we backed that up with a handful of good previews and other features. Jim dove into the nightlife of Prague to see if Bloodhunt can be the next great Battle Royale shooter, while I went hands on with Turbo Golf Racing and concluded that just taking Rocket League and making it golf (as reductive as that statement is) is actually pretty great!
I also got to continue my hands on with F1 22 over last weekend, following up the first Miami GP with impressions of the game’s take on the new cars, a whole host of realistic new twists to the racing, and the new F1 Life that’s wrapped around it all.
And finally, What We Played featured Sifu, Call of Duty: Vanguard and FIFA 22.

Your Achievements
Here’s what you in our community has been up to this week:
- tactical20 is nearly completely done with Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and is very glad of the speedy PS5 loads for all the planet hopping he’s having to do.
- TSBonyman has been playing “Elden Farm-Ring Simulator”, spending far too much time this week’s gaming time on collecting smithing stones to make his staff more impressive – Hey! Quiet down at the back there!
- hornet1990 finished off the original BioShock and found the final boss to be a bit of a doddle. He’d ben a very good boy and got the good ending. Aside from that, he’s watched as much Netflix as possible so he can cancel his sub.
- willbuchanan is past the worst of his recent bout of Covid, but still pretty fatigued, so it’s been Everybody’s Golf online trophy hunting and grabbing the co-op trophies in Mercenaries 2. Hope you’re better soon!
- And Andrewww has returned from his spring holidays to play Control, and is finding it generally OK, but with a bonkers story and some bits that drag it down. He’s also read Project Hail Mary which he recommends to sci-fi and space genre fans.
Enjoy your weekend and we’ll see you next week!
