Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has a new trailer with loads of details that eagle-eyed Sonic fans should take notice of. The trailer comes just ahead of the Super Bowl and manages to cram quite a bit of information in just over 40 seconds. And just like the trailer that was shown off at The Game Awards, there’s a lot to talk about.
Judging from the trailer, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 looks to be taking a lot more from the games than the first film did. From the inclusion of classic characters like Tails and Knuckles, to set pieces taken straight from a few of the games, this is sure to be good news for Sonic fans.
That trailer sure was speedy
The first big thing to notice in the trailer is the chase between Sonic and Knuckles as they snowboard down a mountain. Immediately, this is reminiscent of a similar scene from Sonic Adventure, where Sonic also snowboards down a gigantic mountain.
