According to sources, the Golden Guardians Academy Roster for the 2023 Academy Season is nearly locked. With four out of five positions ready to roll, the mid lane is apparently still being discussed. Here is who is signing so far and what this means for Golden Guardians’ future.

This will be the first time fans will be seeing Golden Guardians start to enact the plans of Inero. He stated that this year would start with veterans on the main team and then some of them would slowly be replaced by younger players with more potential. This is step one of what seems to be a three-year process.
As a reminder the mid lane is still being figured out but here are the likely four players for Golden Guardians Academy in 2023.
Top: Concept
Jung: Rosethorn
Bot: Array
Sup: Prismal
Truthfully, this roster is very similar to the 2022 Academy roster with just Rosethorn added so far. Concept signed from IMT Academy back in May of 2022 and was a solid option but no necessarily one that should push Licorice for his position. Rosethorn comes back after being with CLG and is still an interesting option in the jungle.
Array is likely the most interesting option for Golden Guardians and surely would be the first callup to the LCS from this team. Lastly, Prismal stays with Golden Guardians after a quick call-up at the end of the Summer Split. He has made the switch over and hopes to be another success story at support from the Golden guardians farm system.
