Sprout set to reveal XELLOW as new AWPer

The Nexus AWPer is slated to replace Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich.

Sprout are set to announce the addition of Adrian “XELLOW” Guță as their new AWPer after coming to terms with Nexus and the player over his transfer and individual deal, multiple sources have revealed to HLTV.org.

Sprout signed the 22-year-old Romanian to replace slaxz-, who has officially departed the Berlin-based organization following a two-year service.

XELLOW is set to follow lauNX from Nexus to Sprout

XELLOW is best known for his nearly six years long stay with Romanian side Nexus, where he has consistently been the standout player. There, he played alongside Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea for a year before the young rifler joined Sprout in May 2022.

XELLOW also spent a stint on a loan with ECSTATIC alongside the likes of Thomas “birdfromsky” Due-Frederiksen and Dion “FASHR” Derksen earlier this year. The AWPer’s time with the team was cut short after just four months amidst an overhaul and a transition to an all-Danish roster, which began with birdfromsky leaving to create the new Copenhagen Flames and FASHR joining up with fnatic.

Since then XELLOW has continued to ply his trade with Nexus without finding much success as a team. His impressive 1.20 rating over the past five months is a stark contrast to the rest of the Romanian lineup, whose peak on the HLTV.org ranking in 2022 was 76th place.

With XELLOW‘s addition, Sprout will have the following lineup:

Denmark Victor “Staehr” Staehr
Romania Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea
Denmark Ismail “refrezh” Ali
Denmark Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss
Romania Adrian “XELLOW” Guță

Denmark Danny “BERRY” Krüger (coach)
